I haven't seen anything much to beat it for the price, and once you've got a handle on the automap thing, it can be made to work very well. Gee - not sure if that's really too helpful. I can't seem to get the transport buttons to register. I've seen some inpulse around indicating some problems with the 4.
Acquiring proficiency regarding Impulse 49's MIDI specifications and settings is important to prevent problems such as MIDI loops which could cause weird behaviour in your system and that are often difficult to troubleshoot I did contact Novation by phone yesterday and took care of the problem. I tried not to use the automap software but at some point Novation added it and now all my VSTs have double choices - to automap or not to use automap.
Can Sonar handle all the necessary mapping with its own features.

This is a nightmare! Automap is nobation piece of software that comes with all Novation controllers. I did, however, and named it SONAR, but just to limit the "maximum velocity" of the faders, so they don't go above 0db when I slide them all the way up. Thank you for the in-depth explanation!

I tried uninstalling Automap, and the Uninstall screen just hangs there, with no progress bar showing!!!! You can start with "Startup preset" video the link to YouTube channel is in the im;ulse right corner of my site to understand how to install the plug-in initially and create your own simple configuraton.

Do you have to make a custom template on the Impulse keyboard? If you want to assign knobs, faders and buttons to MIDI impilse controller numbers, just type them in!
